I had a question, I see lots of these t-shirt websites selling shirts from all different types of shows and media. What's the copy right issues on that? I wanted to start designing shirts and was wondering about that?

Off of other's work? Yes. Nothing inherent about it- it's called art theft. Not an homage if it has nothing to do with the original (other than taking the logo type and re-purposing it for yourself), and no credit given to the creator.
